On the beautiful and historic Channel Island of Sark lives a unique community of just 600 people. There are no cars or streetlights in Sark so the normal modes of transport are horse and carriage, bicycle and tractor.
There are over 40 miles of coastline to be discovered on stunning Sark, along with a wide range of local food. Sark’s island residents talk of food steps, rather than food miles to source much of their food.
Sark Island Hotels is a group of four luxury hotels, kitchen gardens and vineyards owned by Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay. Costello Media provided PR and copywriting support to the hotels and restaurants, arranging press trips, producing films and writing marketing copy.
This included a press trip and film with wine expert Oz Clarke who visited Sark Vineyards and gave his approval of the very first wine to be produced in Sark. We secured features about Sark Island Hotels in publications including the Financial Times, Decanter, Flybe Magazine, Zest, Country Living, Travel Weekly, Discover Britain, Harpers Wine & Spirit, Footprint and Visit Britain, along with regular features in Guernsey and Normandy-based newspapers and magazines.
